I joined Ryal School in 2016 and helped open the Ryal Head Start Center. I am the Public School Pre-K teacher, the Head Start teacher, and the Head Start Center Director.
I began teaching in 2005 and have worked in private preschools, public schools, and federally-funded programs. I have also taught high school students as the color guard instructor for various marching bands.
My husband, Daniel Neely, is the Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor at Wilson-Henryetta School. We have 2 teenagers, 2 dogs, 3 sheep, and approximately 50 show rabbits.
I am my county’s 4-H Parent Organization Volunteer Vice President and my kids’ school’s Band Booster Secretary. I am also very active in and on a committee at our church. When my schedule allows, I am an adjudicator for winter guard and indoor percussion competitions. During the school year, if I’m not at school, I’m on my laptop researching, documenting, and preparing for school---or doing laundry (There’s always more laundry!) Our kids are very active in 4-H and band, so we are always at contests on the weekends. During the summer I’m either asleep, in the water, or at a professional development training!
