Ryal school begins Aug. 24th. Due to the high virus cases in our area, we will begin with distance learning (Students will not come to Ryal). This is from Aug 24th through the end of September.

If chromebooks & hot spots are not delivered by then, we will assign packets a week at a time. They will be turned in & graded. Those that have internet may do the assigned work online.

We will provide meals during this time. We will make a schedule of how meals are to be provided the week before school starts. Please be patient with us. We have many new rules & requirements to follow as we work toward creating an effective plan.

Our online programs will include, but are not limited to:

Acellus-student watches a video of a teacher explaining the lesson & then completes their assignment. Ryal teachers are also available.

Lexia-for phonics

MyON reading online

We do realize parents work & need schools to open & many students learn better in person. We realize students need social interaction with their friends. But, we must be confident we can protect students & staff. At this time, we simply do not have that confidence.

We miss having our wonderful kids; the halls are empty. There are no students telling us about their summer break. No smiles. No hugs (no hugs when school starts either😫). There is no laughter... just silence of a space that was once filled with joy.

Teachers will be working to prepare for the best virtual/distance learning that best suits our student population & will update you soon.

Thank you all for trusting us with your child(ren).
